Yes I know I have glitter on my face....

My kind of quilting....

 

I've always wanted to make a quilt.... for years I've saved the kids old clothes so that I could chop them up and piece them back together and in the process creating a keepsake quilt for them to love and cherish forever...... well, it's never gonna happen... I've finally come to that realization but I found another way to release my "quilt" fever.....

This is a great "quilt" card using our FABULOUS Designer Series Paper and Sizzix Big Shot exclusive TOP NOTE die!

This card also features a jumbo silk flower from the Pretties Kit collection as well as some beautiful ribbon!

Beautiful Bookmarks

 

These two cards feature a neat removeable corner bookmark. Attendees of my Fabulous Folds II Class made one of these cards for their very own! B-B-B-Birthday.... Dora Style....

 

My "baby" girl turned 3 yesterday and we'll be having her party soon.... (as in Saturday)....I have been behind the times in getting stuff done on a timely basis and of course prepping for this party was no different..... so I panicked about invitations (though I had verbally invited our friends already) ......

 So I requested some help from my fellow Stampin sisters recently to get ideas for some Dora inspired birthday invitations.  Someone sent me a link to a similar card on the internet (though the creator says that she printed all the parts off the computer then adhered to card) but I completely hand created this one!

 

I used punches and the now retired Coluzzle Cutting system.

 

I cut the largest circle for the flap of the backpack,  I used retired Orchid Opulence colored grosgrain for the backpack straps, the Heart Punch (partial) for the mouth, Oval and 3/4" Circle for the eyes, and the smaller photo corner from the Photo Corner punch cut in half for the eyebrows. 

 

I hope you like it as much as I do...b/c I'm positively GIDDY about the turnout!  And I made 18 of them in just about 1 hour and 45 minutes TOTAL (start to finish including addressing envelopes and putting them in the mailbox and everything!!!)

You're Hired Series Card #1 - Three Little Words

 

As stated in a previous post I was hired by fellow Stampin UP! demonstrator - Sherrill Graff of Late Nite Stampers (see the logo to the right and join the Yahoogroup - it's not just for demonstrators anymore!!!) to create stamped samples.    This is one of the cards I've created for my new "job"!   I just love the bright fun color combo and hope that you do too (and Sherrill too)!  I love that I only had to use ONE stamp set for this card, plus I designed it all by myself LOL! Alot of times I'll see something that inspires me, or I'll just straight CASE something, but this one, yes, this one is all my own and I'm pretty proud of myself for that!

Always Bandana Technique

 

This great card uses the Always stamp set and an awesome technique I learned after a fellow demonstrator shared online in one of my Demonstrator Only groups.  This technique is called the Bandana Technique.   This card was actually created at one of my recent Technique Tuesday classes (however these are now taught on Monday nights due to schedules with my family LOL)!

WOO HOO and news...

I'm so proud of myself. :)!  I am FINALLY pulling myself out of the new mom zombie stage and trying to get things back in a row.   So I pushed myself to do a few things

1) Update blog with new catalog, specials etc - CHECK

2) Get back to creating in my craft room - CHECK

3) Schedule classes and post them on my calendar online - CHECK

4) Take photos of recent projects and ongoing creations and get them posted to the blog - HALF CHECK!

I also have some exciting news...

I was hired by a fellow Demonstrator, Sherrill Graff, to create projects for her to use as samples in her business and on her blog etc.   I'm so VERY honored and this was JUST the kick in the toot that I needed to get me back to burnin some rubba!     I have created a little pile of projects already and will be posting some of these creations to my blog as well before sending them on to Sherrill.
