In June as a demonstrator I had a chance to pre-order a selected assortment of products that were to be released in July with the new Idea Book & Catalog. I was THRILLED to see a sample in the new Definately Decorative (formerly known as Decor Elements) brochure of using a Decor Elements set on a laptop computer "lid". I was downright ECSTATIC to see that that exact decor element was available for pre-order at an extra discount so of COURSE I had to order it! It's been sitting on my craft room counter for many weeks now (about a month actually) and I just couldn't bear to actually follow through with putting it onto my laptop.... You see, I'm kind of AR in regards to "new" things - such as my 2.5 year old baby, and no I don't mean one of my kids, but I mean my laptop..... so AR in fact that I never removed the sticky "protective cover" from the lid of my laptop in all that time. Yes folks, you read that right... I left the plastic protective cover on my laptop for 2.5 YEARS!!!! I'd get all maniacal if one of the kids started "pulling" at the corner of it or if someone borrowed my laptop off the couch and questioned me on it....
But I finally took the plunge.... my heart was aflutter, well more like POUNDING as I peeled it off and revealed my PERFECTLY SHINY BRAND NEW 2.5 year old laptop lid and then I did it .... I gingerly placed my Upsy Daisies Decor Elements down onto it (after trimming a few inches off the bottom) and adhered...
Doesn't it look AMAZING!
Now I just have to resist the urge to put the protective covering back on over the top.....
It DOES look amazing! If I had a laptop, I'd copy this idea in a heartbeat!
